Memory and Movement
UrbanPhotofest 2016
3 to 13 November 2016
APT Gallery - London
Memory and Movement exhibits the work of Urbiquity, a platform for photography and urbanism founded by Stefano Carnelli, Pablo Conejo and Mattias Malk. Urbiquity investigates processes of political and economic migration, connecting global processes and personal experiences.
The projects displayed explore scenarios that are witnessing profound socio-political changes and, by looking in the fragility of their present and the traces of their recent past, document ephemeral, and yet crucial, elements that may help us to better understand their idiosyncrasies.
The exhibition consists of two sections showcasing long-term projects as well as the results of a recent visual urbanism residency curated by Urbiquity and centering on the same subject of memory and movement.
